Premarital cohabitation has become common in the church because Christian leaders have remained silent on this issue and many Christians have adopted today's secular values as their own. Our society cherishes "trying before buying", convenience at any cost, sex without rules, companionship without commitment, and relationship without responsibility. Everything premarital cohabitation provides. Instead of walking in righteousness and holiness, today's Christian opposes the values and commands of the Holy Bible.
1 Thessalonians 4:5 "For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you abstain from sexual immorality; that each one of you know how to control his own body in holiness and honor, not in the passion of lust like the Gentiles who do not know God;" The Bible commands us to flee from sexual immorality (1 Cor. 6:18). There are two Biblical options for Christians. Either get married or move out! Or...continue to live in SIN. God cannot and will not honor sin. How can we expect the Lord to bless us when we violate His commands? God is not a prude. He made marriage, sex (between a man and a woman) and the very idea of living together. The right way may not be easy, but it honors God. Disobedience brings us harm. We are open to the enemy when we decide to live in habitual sin. In fact, God says we won't make it to heaven if we continually practice any sin (1st Cor. 6:9-11). So many people are so desperate to be with someone, that they will compromise everything or small things for the sake of companionship. The statistics of divorces are extremely high when couples live together before marriage. Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free? Just because it's legal, does not mean it is Biblical. There was a time in the United Sates when living together was illegal. Our society has become corrupted. Our fear of God has gone. The Christian Church has become lukewarm and we are afraid to offend anyone but God. If you are so desperate for love, then the love you are looking for can only come from a sinless Savior named Jesus. Nothing else can satisfy the human heart. It is a empty hole that only God can fill. You can sit in a pew at church every week, but you will never make it to heaven until you repent and let Him change your life. We can't hide from God. It is high time for the Christians to humble themselves and repent before the judgement of God strikes our nation. Yes, it's coming. We live in a world where evil is good and good is evil as prophesied in the Bible. Jesus is coming!

Many people feel that if they practice something "for fun", it won't hurt them. So many people go to psychics or mediums because they want to know their future or they may play with a Ouija Board to contact the dead as a "game" for fun. They may even read horoscopes for fun while thinking it will not harm them. There is also an incredible invasion of easter mysticism in our western culture that includes different types of yoga, meditation and self help practices that seem harmless.
Halloween is considered by most, as a holiday for children and adults to dress up in costumes and have fun. Halloween is a sacred, high holiday for Wiccans (the official religion of witchcraft). Churches practice "Trunk or Treat' as an alternative for evangelism or safety for the kids. The world knows what "Halloween" stands for. The world also knows what Christmas and Easter stand for. I believe the church of Jesus Christ has fallen asleep in the light. We have allowed so many evil practices into our churches, that we can no longer discern the evil from the good or the profane from the holy. Halloween depicts death and fear. It glamorizes the occult, witchcraft, demons, gore, blood, fear, evil, torture, murder, skeletons(which represent death), Disney characters(which most glorify witchcraft and sorcery), and the list goes on... If you do things "for fun" and you think it is not hurting you, you are already deceived. I don't care if your pastor or church is okay with it, God is not. Most Pastors are deceived and deceiving others and some pastors are wolves in sheep's clothing (Matthew 7:13-16). Jesus said this will happen in the end times. We open doorways for Satan and His demons to attack us when we rebel against God and His Word. It is a sin to dabble in the occult. It doesn't matter if it's for fun, you are still dabbling. Sin separates us from God. I have never met a person, who compromises with the occult, that does not have emotional, spiritual or even demonic physical attacks or issues in their life. Not all attacks are from rebellion, but many are. We give Satan a foothold. He is seeking to steal, kill and destroy us and he is not playing around. If you give him an inch, he will take a mile. Many people in our churches have been delivered from the occult and Satan's power and we are causing them to stumble. God will not hold us guiltless! Setting aside a day to celebrate evil, darkness, witchcraft, fear, death and the demonic brings disdain to God. Period. A Christian celebrating Halloween would be like a Satan worshiper putting up a nativity scene at Christmas while singing, "Happy Birthday, Jesus!" The two just don't go together. The Bible clearly forbids serving two gods. If you serve Jesus, you will hate Satan. If you love Satan and Jesus, then you truly love Satan. Jesus has nothing in common with Satan (2 Corinthians 6:14), and neither should we. We have to repent as a church and stop justifying celebrating this demonic, worldly and evil holiday! Don't follow the crowd. Listen to the Holy Spirit. He is HOLY. "They even sacrificed their own sons and daughters in the fire. They consulted fortune-tellers and practiced sorcery and sold themselves to evil, arousing the LORD ’s anger." -Kings 17:17 NLT
The Holy Spirit enters into us the moment we are "born again" of the Spirit of God. He will moment by moment, walk with us and reveal to us what has already been spoken in His Word. The Truth. I remember when the Lord Jesus asked me to specifically repent of sins that I had committed in my past. He never failed to bring up to me every lie I told, every thing I stole, every act of immorality, every false god I believed in, every deception I believed in, my worldy wisdom, my rebellion against authority, my pride, my lust, and the list went on. He also asked me to remove certain things from my house which brought evil soul ties and attachments to my past sinful lifestyle. Things like: rock and and new age music (which was my entire music collection), all self-help/psychology/new-age books, demonic wall art, bar clothes, all alcohol, drugs, and pornography. He even told me to destroy all past pictures of my party life style and sinful relationships. I took everything that could burn and put it into a pile in my driveway, REPENTED to the Lord, set it on fire and renounced the kingdom of satan and all ground I had given him in the authority of Jesus Name (Acts 19:19). He showed me through His Word how important is was to break away from all of my old friends.
Those friends were a part of my sinful lifestyle. Then He asked me to ask for forgiveness from my Mom for being so rebellious to her as a teenager. You see, He knows what He is doing. God wants to clean up our lives, but that requires obedience on our part. I no longer had to the desire to live in sin. I no longer wanted to be like the world. I wanted to come out and be free! The Lord saw that I was serious about Him and every time He told me to do something, I did it. Six months later, I received a radical baptism of the Holy Spirt! What an amazing journey it has been for me. Whom the Son sets free is free indeed! It's His transforming power that works in us. Will you let Jesus in? You will deny yourself and take up your cross? Will you surrender at the foot of the cross so He can clean you up? Today, you can be free in Jesus Name! "Now unto Him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, Unto Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen." (Ephesians 3: 20-21) |
