Most Professing Christians Lie

There is a generation that does not fear God.. I believe we are living in those days. Deception is at an all time high. Whether you are a new believer or a mature believer, you will experience professing Christians "lying".  According to the Bible, there is no difference in a white lie or black lie. Any half truth is a complete lie. The Bible says that "Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord" in Proverbs 12:22. In fact, God even says that all liars will be in the lake that burns will fire and sulfur in the book of Revelation 21;8. 

Most people are so accustomed to "lying" that they even believe their own lies. Satan is called the "Father of lies". Marriages, families, friendships, and jobs are destroyed because of lies. Some people are even known to take the lies to their death beds. Satan works in darkness. He even works in the churches behind the titles. Pastors, evangelists, and ministers lie too! We as Christians cannot afford to be ignorant of his devices anymore. We cannot afford to be shocked anymore. The enemy devises plans to destroy the true body of Christ. He is at work continually. God does not sleep but neither do demonic spirits. I believe most people in Churches are filled with self deception. They are always learning, but never able to come to the knowledge of the truth (2 Timothy 3:7).

They have a form of godliness, but they will not allow the power of God to change them. They are full of un-repented sin. They deceive others as they are deceived themselves. Half truths, false doctrine, flattery, hypocrisy, and false promises are just some of the underlying evils in our midst. A lie is a false statement with deliberate intent to deceive. Lying is a moral issue. It is a sin. Family members are alienated because of lies. Reputations are destroyed because of lies. Churches are divided because of lies. Children often practice to lie because of their parents and generational sins are passed down. Liars often influence other people to tell lies. Proverbs 29:12 says: "If a ruler pays attention to lies, all his servants become wicked". 

Many people lie for different reasons. God is not concerned about "why". A lie is a lie. In the Bible, Rahab the harlot (Joshua 2) hid the spies to save their lives. She lied to protect the men of God. This is an usual event. That does not give us permission to lie. A person who harbors bitterness and un-forgiveness will manifest a lying tongue. They will do anything they can to destroy another person. They will not go unpunished. They are full of poison on their lips. They are always spreading a net to ruin another person. They are always plotting and planning another's ruin. Hatred drives their heart. Liars are so self deceived, that they themselves live a lie. They portray something on the outside that they are not on the inside. In public, everyone likes them, but no one knows what they are secretly hiding. Proverbs 26:28 says: "A lying tongue HATES  those it crushes, and a flattering mouth causes ruin."

People tell lies on the internet, on Facebook, on Twitter and the list goes on. The Bible says, "A man who bears false witness is like a club, a sword, and a sharp arrow" (Proverbs 25:18). God hates it so much, that He calls it an abomination! A lying tongue is not something to play with. In fact, you will not go to heaven if you don't repent and come clean. If you have the Holy Spirit, He will convict you the moment you sin. If you are not convicted, you don't have the Holy Spirit. Think about all the lies you tell. We all know when we lie. There will be no excuse. Satan controls us when we lie. He likes to hide in darkness. People who live in lies, hide in darkness. They live in torment. Lies beget lies. In fact, to some people, lying is a game to them. Nothing can be hidden from God. What will you choose today? Will you choose to turn to the only one that can set you free from Satan? Will you repent and turn to Jesus and receive His blood to wash your sins?  Will you choose LIFE or DEATH today? It's never to late to turn while you have air in your lungs and a beating heart. Turn to Jesus before it's to late. Make it right with those you have wronged before it's too late. Our days are numbered. The road is narrow and only a few will enter into the kingdom of God..
